Tandem Hang-Gliding Although the aluminum and fabric wing looks fragile, tandem hang-gliding is probably one of the safer activities around. You can even fly on your own for the first five minutes aloft. Glacier Walking Walking on a living, moving, creaking mountain of ice is awesome. But do make sure you are properly roped to your guide just in case any mishaps were to befall you, such as falling down a crevasse. Of course, we all hope that never happens! Aerobatics Imagine flying on a plane that attempts crazy stunts like loops and rolls, flying upside down, inverted turns, and other unsound acrobatic moves. This is one adventure that will leave your stomach in a knot. Unquestionably, aerobatics is more fun than the usual roller coaster ride. Heli-Bungee Heli-bungee is banned for the moment. However, it is similar to bungee jumping, but this ‘expedition’ expects you to leap out of a helicopter with a rubber-type band as your only life support. The Heli-Jet is another form of ‘heli’ amusement. You get to experience a triple-thrill ride in a helicopter, jet boat, and white-water raft. Happy ‘falling’! Zorbing Zorbing is one bizarre sport, which gives the distinct feeling of being inside a tumble-drier. The zorb consist of two spheres; one suspended within the inflated outer one. The view from inside a zorb is an indistinct blend of blue sky and green grass as you bounce, fall, and roll down a hillside. Plans are being made to have zorbing on rivers and waterfalls. Passive participants will have just as much fun watching it as the person inside the zorb. And of all the adventure sports, zorbing is probably the safest. |
