1 December 2007 - OLD BAGAN, Myanmar, The Aye Yar Hotel is undergoing a makeover that will create an Aye Yar Riverview Resort offering a rejuvenated experience for our guests. From a newly upgraded lobby echoing an old Bagan atmosphere, to revived guestrooms and public areas, it's a refresh of the entire Resort - redefining resort experience in Bagan.
Guest Rooms:
• Current inventory of 52 guest rooms and suites are in the midst of a face-lift and will be joined by another 32 Sittaung deluxe rooms fronting either the swimming pool and garden or the majestic pagodas in the Bagan plains and 18 Grand Premier rooms fronting Aye Yarwaddy river. Decor will be classic contemporary with overtones of ancient Bagan culture.
The Mekhong Bar and Restaurant:
• Unveiling early 2008, The Mekhong, as the name suggests, is a confluence of Myanmar, Thai and Chinese cuisines. Complementing the menus, the newly redesigned open space dining room reflects the culture and heritage of ancient Bagan.
