Monywa Hotel

Monywa hotels line the banks of the Chindwin River, the leisurley waterway that winds its sleepy way through the town of Monywa, which is several hours by train north of Mandalay, the famous Burmese historical city. Many visitors travel to Monywa as a spill off from their visit to Mandalay. Many hotels in Monywa are justifiably proud of the religious and architectural heritage that Monywa can call its own. The Giant Standing Buddha, for example, is a very impressive monument as is the Giant Reclining Buddha. Various Chinese and even some Japanese shrines dot the town too.
