Quang Ngai Introduction

Quang Ngai province was among the first provinces in central Vietnam to arrange self-defense models in March 1945. The Ba To Guerrilla Unit mobilized hundreds of 1000's of peasants. It had been referred to as an NLF (Vietcong) stronghold throughout the Vietnam War called the site from the infamous Binh Hoa massacre (1966), the Dien Nien-Phuoc Binh Massacre (1966) and also the My Lai Massacre (1968), in addition to Procedures Malheur I and Malheur II and Operation Quyet Thang 202. Quang Ngai was considered to be a Viet Cong stronghold throughout the war, and also the site of several ambushes and attacks against ARVN and American troops, particularly during the night.
