Sittwe Introduction
Sittwe is the capital of Rakhine Condition, Myanmar (Burma). Sittwe, pronounced site-tway present in the Rakhine language, is located with an estuarial island developed in the confluence from the Kaladan, Mayu, and Lay Mro rivers draining in to the Bay of Bengal. The area has 181,000 occupants (2006). it's the administrative chair of Sittwe Township and Sittwe District.
