Bang Tao Beach Introduction
Bang Tao Beach is a luxury tourist destination in Phuket. Here visitors find 6 km of sandy beach gazing westward out to sea, lined with some of the most luxurious beach hotels in Phuket. Most of the beach is lined by the Laguna Resort and the beach is also known as Bang Thao Beach or Laguna Beach. Most of the hotel accommodation is either within the Laguna Resort or at the southern end of the beach. The rest is relatively unspoilt.
Bang Tao Beach is a great place to relax and unwind with both clear seas and fine white sands. It is fully resourced with amenities and various companies offer water sports. Not far from Bang Tao Beach is the small, traditional village of Cherng Talay, where locals still make their living out of fishing, farming and tapping rubber. A little to the south is Surin Beach.
