Only 3 km south of Patong, this beach is famed for its five-kilometre long white beach sand that squeaks under your feet. Mostly single row sunbeds decked along the stretch offer unsurpassed and unblocked views. Turtles are periodic nocturnal visitors to the beach. Recreational activities at this beach include paragliding, windsurfing, snorkeling, and volleyball. During the rainy season Karon can be good for surfing but dangerous for swimming due to the large waves and strong rip currents. Thai Massage and reflexology are also offered on the beach.
