Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa, located on Penang's finest beach, the famed Batu Feringgi Beach. Only 20 minutes' drive from George Town and 45 minutes from the Penang International Airport. Taxis and private limousines are available at the arrival halls until the last flight.

How to Get There
By Car - From the Penang International Airport
Please note that in Malaysia, traffic drives on the left.

• From the Penang International Airport, take the Bayan Lepas Highway until you reach a roundabout.
• At the roundabout, take the twelve o’clock turn heading to Sungai Nibong.
• Continue the journey all the way until you pass by two traffic lights. As you pass the second traffic lights at Sunny Point, keep to the far left corner of the road.
• As you reach another small roundabout, take the 9 o’clock turn heading towards Mesjid Negeri, Tanjung Bungah and Batu Feringgi.
• Keep to the left of the road and drive straight ahead. You will pass by a stretch of traffic lights while using this road.
• Continue your journey by following the landmark boards stating Tanjung Bungah and Batu Feringgi.
• After taking Western Road, turn right at the traffic lights of Waterfall heading to Gottlieb Road and Bagan Jermal.
• Take 9 o’clock again at the roundabouts and enter Tanjong Tokong Road.
• Continue your journey till you reach Batu Feringgi. The resort is located on Batu Feringgi Beach.

CHI, The Spa
Spread along a secluded corner of the resort beside a tranquil seashore, CHI, The Spa offers a holistic approach to rejuvenation and relaxation. Its eleven spa villas, enclosed by soaring centuries-old rain trees, exude serenity, peace and solitude.

Decorated in a distinctive Himalayan style, the spa design also incorporates indigenous Malay and Peranakan influences in its rich timber wood flooring and stone walls. Each of the spacious villas is equipped with a private changing room, a treatment room and a private garden, all surrounded by 30 acres of lush gardens. Located between the Garden Wing and the Rasa Wing, our state-of-the-art Health Club boasts floor-to-ceiling glass panels allowing a full view of the ocean. The gym's cardiovascular equipment includes treadmills, crosstrainers, step machines, a rowing machine and stationary bicycles with televised heart monitoring systems. Flatscreen TVs are located at most stations.

The aerobics studio comes complete with audiovisual capabilities. Guests may also use sophisticated strength equipment and free weight area facilities at the weight lifting area.

The Spice Market Café in the Garden Wing pays a delicious homage to Penang's heritage as a culinary meeting place and a centre of the historic trade in spices and exotic herbs.

Feringgi Grill
The elegant Feringgi Grill offers award-winning continental cuisine with charming views of the grounds and gardens of the resort. Spice Market Café
The Spice Market Café is an informal buffet-style restaurant that offers authentic cuisines from diverse cultures that reflect Penang's heritage as a cultural crossroads: Chinese, Indian, Nyonya-Baba, Japanese, Thai, Western and international. The café is right beside the unique free-form swimming pools, under a canopy of century-old rain trees that echo with the delightful sounds of chirping tropical birds.

Guests dining outside are cooled by sea breezes. Outdoor seats are also available at special timber decks overlooking the sandy expanse of Batu Feringgi Beach.

While dining indoors in the air-coniditioned dining room, you may enjoy the view of our kitchen theatres in which our chefs prepare the dishes that have been ordered.

At the entrance to the café you'll find the Spice Boutique, where you can learn about and purchase some of the most exotic spices in Asia. The boutique features over 100 varieties of dried herbs and spices, with varieties of curry powders and other ingredients for you to take home. A selection of recipe books are also available for you to prepare you own special dishes using the exotic spices found here.
